| The Chessy is a working dog and needs
many hours of exercise. There are different types and different breeding
stocks. A well kept chessy should be social to other dogs and humans,
happyly working and love water. |

Through Frodo we have met a lot of chessie people and visited them.
During our visits to Denmark, Sweden and Germany we have met a lot
of nice chessies and have had nice training experience with trainers
like Janne Sthil, Birgitte Jörgensen, Bjarne Rönnow, ... and had very
nice training experiences. In danish hunting tests dogs have to search
at the same time and if one dog is interfering with another one it
is disqualified. This way the social behavior of the dog is tested
regularly. We have also participated at hunting tests from the ACC,
the WD, WDX and WDQ. These are marking tests at different levels and
we have seen chessies from Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands
and Switzerland work. |

| There are more chessies in SAR work like

| Some chessies also regulary
participate in working tests and dummyexams or hunting tests in the
German area. Also brother Joshua and Buster, as well as sister Assi,
we have met at working tests at the AUstrian Retriever Club Show.
At the test in 1997 all three litter mates and Frodo were among the
bets 10 dogs in the juvenile class. |
